We have selected poultry breeds particularly suited to free-range and organic
production to meet the increasing demand from farmers and small holders who

After considerable research for the most suitable bird for free-range table
chicken production, we have selected the SASSO breed from France, which enjoys
80% of the traditional free-range market. Created in 1978 they have progressed
to produce 100 million high quality products successfully combining tradition
with old time flavour and taste.
All our day old chicks are produced from SASSO hatching eggs imported directly
from France under a MAFF import licence. Through SASSO we can now offer several
main strains of bird, although if there is a strain you are particularly interested
in then please ask, as we may be able to provide such a bird.
